4 Months Old...

Today Cody and Callie are 4 Months Old.  Oh how they are changing and how time is flying.  I cannot believe it has been a whole month since my last post.  I guess I have been a little busy with these two munchkins. 
With Spring finally arriving here in the northwest, we have emerged from the cave at home to experience life outside the house.  Like bears waking from hibernation, these kiddos are taking in the fresh air, the beautiful flowers and enjoying what life has to offer them.  With wide eyes taking in the world, smiles have made their way into our everyday lives.  I think they like what they are seeing... the world that we could only describe to them as we waited out flu season and hoped that their little immune systems would mature enough to allow them to enjoy.  Finally, we are free!

Trip to the Tulip Festival in the Skagit Valley:
It was a cold and windy day, but we made the trek anyhow in Grandpa Wayne's big black truck.  After a feeding at the local farmers market (they even had soup that I could eat... no soy, no dairy... made my day!), we headed to the fields.  Most of the fields had already been plowed under, but there were still many blossoms for our enjoyment.  We bundled Cody and Callie up in their baby bjorn and Moby wrap, snuggled them in their hats inside our jackets and took in the sights.  How beautiful indeed.

Tomorrow is our 4 month pediatrician appointment.  Anxious to see how much the little ones weigh.  We are happy to report that they are smiling, rolling from front to back and both hold their heads up very steadily.  They even tried out their exersausers for the first time and although they can not touch the ground yet, they love to play!  Both kiddos are grasping at toys and playing with their hands and feet.  They giggle and smile all of the time and bring such joy to us daily.  We are blessed!
